The current chancellor, Alicia Bárcena, will move in October to occupy the Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources
The elected president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, announced on Thursday a part of those who will accompany her in the administration as president of Mexico and heiress of the Fourth Transformation.

Among the personalities, the Secretary of Economy will assume Marcelo Ebrard, who was Chancellor before the current Secretary of Foreign Affairs Alicia Bárcena. Ebrard served in that position between 2018 and 2023 and was head of Government of Mexico City in the period 2006 to 2012.
Meanwhile, Rosaura Ruiz, will be the Secretary of Humanities, Technology and Innovation, a new position created by the current management, while the Secretary of Foreign Affairs will be Juan Ramón de la Fuente, who serves as leader of the government liaison team of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
The current chancellor, Alicia Bárcena, will move in October to occupy the Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources. Bárcena also has the experience of the Mexican Embassy in Chile and the secretariat of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC).
The Secretariat of Agriculture and Rural Development will be occupied by Julio Berdegué Sacristán, who has been part of the transition team of Sheinbaum and “has a wide experience in the promotion of agriculture in the Latin American region”, according to local media recognition.
Finally, the Senator elected by Mexico City, Ernestina Godoy Ramos, will be the Legal Advisor of the Presidency.
In this regard, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo Pardo said about her team that “they are first class women and men. I am very honored that you have agreed to be part of the second floor of the ‘Fourth Transformation'”.
